Northern Lights
Secondary School has recently celebrated its 20th anniversary of providing
a quality education for the students of Moosonee and Moose Factory. The school enrollment is
approximately 200 students from Moosonee and the Island. We offer grades 9 through 12
Applied, Academic, Open, as well as University, College bound and
Workplace courses. The school is a modern facility that is extremely well
equipped in terms of technology, and assistive technology for those
students requiring modified programming. The James Bay Lowlands Secondary
School Board believes in innovative problem solving and responding to the
local needs of the student body and the community. As a result we support
and provide a broad range of learning opportunities to our students
through the CO-OP, OYAP, and an Interdisciplinary Adventure Eco Tourism
program. We
invite you to join the staff of Northern Lights Secondary School where you
will find exciting challenges supported by a very dynamic, and
knowledgeable staff. Please
